I woke up REALLY early for this one. Alarm went off at 5am so I can beat the sunrise to Key Biscayne for this epic photo. Miami, The Magic City, looks at her most magical just before the sun rises.
I setup my tripod on the seawall by the William Powell Bridge, aka the Key Biscayne Bridge, aka, The Big Bridge. Attached to the tripod was my one and only Canon EOS R6 Mark II, which to that I had attached the monster Canon 28mm to 70mm f2.
As I am still figuring all of this out, I played with the camera settings until I got the one thing I came out here for. A VERY long exposure. My ISO at 180, aperture almost closed at f20, and my shutter speed was 30 seconds!!
That’s right, 30 seconds. An eternity. I stood blocking the wind because it was really blowing. Using my phone to remote control the shutter, I clicked and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally the click and I got to see the results.
Please go have a look by clicking below. I will be ordering one of these to hang on my wall proudly as a native Miamian.
